The best time to visit Trapani is during the shoulder seasons — from mid-April through May and from September into early October — when the weather is pleasantly warm, the sea is mild enough for swimming, and the tourist crowds are much thinner than in summer. During these periods you can expect daytime temperatures between about 18-25 °C, moderate rain showers occasionally, and more affordable accommodations and ferry tickets for the Naples-to-Trapani route. Summer (June to August) delivers ideal beach weather and many events, but crowds, heat (often above 30 °C, and higher travel costs make travel less comfortable. Winter months bring mild but wetter conditions and shorter daylight, which work if you prefer quiet, but many services are reduced.
